Flying Houses by Laurent Chehere

Laurent Chehere is a French photographer who created his Flying Houses series by combining his explorations of poor Parisian neighborhoods with inspirations from the films of Hayao Miyazaki and Albert Lamorisse.

Drawing influence also from the works of Wim Wenders, Fellini, and Marcel Carné, his work conveys an almost cinematographic vision that highlights the unique character of a run down urban façade in Paris, an abandoned house in the suburbs, or a caravan in the slums.
